Scrabble poetry

today’s haiku:

Is ether required

to sense etherealness?

Fog, woods, weave and gleam

*explanation: Today I played a game of Scrabble with my Dad.  It reminded me of another trick I’ve used fairly often: Scrabble poems.  the challenge is to use as many words from any one Scrabble game in one poem (as many as you possibly can use in some coherent way (‘coherent’ being a loosely bound term).

The above haiku is written using a few of our Scrabble board words.

Here are the words from our Scrabble game:
gleam
ax
axe
axed
gelatine
five
joust
ether
nether
song
grit
grits
hills
hind
endow
weaved
oh
ow
en
on
lube
qi
mini
trusty
urp
stray
ace
icy
dub
peaks
speaks
zig
oaf
cafe
so
roan
user
rep (as in repetition)

*my Dad plays using the Scrabble Players Dictionary, which as you may know uses many ‘words’ that don’t necessarily make my list of ‘real’ words!

Your challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to write a poem (haiku or any style) and share it in a reply post!
