Silences

haiku of the day:

Trees silenced by leaf

fall immigrate. Trunks stand tall.

E’en their seeds are stilled.

*needs some fine-tuning, maybe this will become a longer different style of haiku?

Back a few hours later =

tree trunks standing tall

stalwart sentinels masking

generations’ fears

— or:

tree trunks standing tall

stalwart sentinels masking

generations’ larks

[totally changes the tone/surprise of the haiku for me]

trees silenced by leaf

fall, migrate, yet even seeds

stall: border fences.

trees silenced by leaf

fall: spunky? punky? face peace

fully — true wisdom

So much to say about silences (a rather oxymoronic statement).

So little time.

I’ll be back!
